24 July 2023 The current state of school buildings and arts spaces in England A recent report from the National Audit Office (NAO) found that 700,000 pupils are learning in school buildings that require major rebuilding or refurbishment. 500 schools in particular are in need of urgent rebuilding or refurbishment.
